Meter from Boredom Creates...something...

Creeping Darkness

The darkness still comes--
Moving silently—steadily--stealthily.
A ghostly vapor,
Maneuvering through even the
Most protected of places;
Encompassing all in its path.

Oh! Fateful is the day when the darkness
Takes over! Immobilizing my very being,
Sending my mind into a warped place,
An inescapable and impenetrable solace.
Feeling the impossibility to possess the
Knowledge to wriggle myself free from it.

Yet---I know that I am not alone
In the struggle to maintain sanity.
For You are always watching over me;
Fighting my battles for me;
Giving me some peace of mind;
Encouraging me to get back up again.

Like a single ray of light
From beneath a silky cloud,
You have opened new doors
Of life for me.
The darkness vaporizes into nothingness;
Never to return again.

Quote of the Day: "To be a well-favoured man is the gift of fortune; but to write and read comes by nature."---William Shakespeare
